MODEL 2105H HALF RACK CHASSIS

Delta's Model 2105H is a stand-alone MPEG-2 decoder unit. The Model 2105H decodes an MPEG-2 transport stream, demultiplexing the received stream into separate video, audio, and data channels that are then converted into a useable format. The unit can receive a standards compliant, ISO/IEC 13818-1 MPEG-2 transport stream via a T-1 T-Carrier interface from a remote MPEG-2 encoder. The transport stream is comprised of ISO/IEC 13818-2 MPEG-2 video, ISO/IEC 11172- 3 MPEG-1 audio, and user data. The transport stream is demultiplexed into its elementary components: video, audio, data, timing, and system information. The video and audio information are decompressed before being converted into analog signals and output in RS-232 format.

The user data channel is full duplex, allowing user data or control signals to be sent from the decoder to the remote encoder. Additionally, the Model 2105H has a return audio stream to provide audio communication back to the remote encoder from the decoder.
