MODEL 2005H HALF RACK CHASSIS
Delta's MPEG-2 Model 2005H is a video encoder that compresses video and audio signals, multiplexing them with user RS-232 data and other system information for transmission to a remote decoder unit. The unit generates a standards compliant ISO/IEC 13818-1 MPEG-2 Transport Stream, which is output through either an RS-530 interface or a T-1 interface. A reverse channel includes two audio channels and an RS-232 data channel (data from the decoder to the encoder). These reverse channels can be used for normal audio or for DTMF tones, which allow for far end camera control. The bi-directional data channel also provides a clear channel that can be used for end-to-end RS- 232 communications.
